Our Worship Pastor

The Bay Hills family was over-JOY-ed to announce they had hired the fiery Filipino in 2009 after his contagious stage presence rocked the congregation during his live worship service audition. Words do not give justice to the energy Joy is able to create as he connects the audience to his passion for glorifying the Lord. His heartfelt renditions of the latest worship music, and his reverence to classic hymn favorites, keep the audience emotionally involved with the message.

Joy was raised in a Christian family on the east coast, across the river from New York City. Both of his grandfathers found Jesus Christ with the help of different American missionaries serving in the Philippines. At the age of 5, Joy asked his father to help him pray so he could be forgiven for his sins, and right then, he began an eternal friendship with Jesus. He has served a range of communities throughout the country as worship pastor, including Memphis TN, the Chicago IL area, and Naples FL.

Being slightly height-challenged, he claims he never dreamed he’d marry a tall blond, but God has a sense of humor! Joy and Kim met while studying music at the Moody Bible Institute in downtown Chicago, married after 3 years of dating, and are blessed with three children: Alec, Julien, and Bella.
